The A-StreaX application is a physical therapy mobile game designed to face the challenge of adhering to home rehabilitative activities during recovery. Adherence to home practices during rehabilitation is a major factor in recovery. According to studies, it is estimated that 50% of patients fail to stick to the exercises prescribed for them outside of the physical therapy sessions with the therapists and there is a need for a solution that will stimulate patients in their recovery journey. A-StreaX tackles this issue by making physical therapy an immersive and enjoyable experience. By merging the power of play with therapeutic exercises, A-StreaX aims to improve motivation and foster a sense of fun during rehabilitation.
The patients embark on a journey where physical activity opens up a world of enjoyment and recovery. They will complete objectives to obtain characters and discover different maps, all while performing targeted physical therapy exercises tailored to their needs.
